South Indian actress Genelia D’Souza who is also well known in bollywood is soon going to make her debut in the Malayalam film titled as “Urumi”. The movie will be made by Santosh Sivan in trilingual languages. URUMI will be made in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi and will be featuring actor Prithviraj in the lead. Genelia has confirmed the news that she is a part of this project, but is yet to sign the dotted line. The movie script demands a chirpy beauty in the lead and so actress Genelia was offered the project. URUMI is a Kalari fight based sword which is 8 feet in length and is well described in the ancient south Indian anthology. The movie will be based on the sword and also the rebellion group which wanted to kill Vasco De Gama, who was a famous Portuguese explorer.
Malayalam movie releases in July 2010
Malayalam film releases in July 2010 are 9 and most of the movies are big bannered movies with great star cast. Here is a schedule of all those movies, which will release in July 2010 and that too date wise. - July 9th, 2010 will witness the release of ‘Oru Naal Varum’ which features Mohanlal and Sameera reddy in the lead. ‘Nallavan’ of actor Jaya Surya and Maithali will also be released on this day.
- July 16th, 2010- ‘Maalarvadi Arts club’ and ‘Apoorva Raagam’ will be hitting screens on this day. ‘Vande Mataram’ which features Mammotty, Sneha and Arjun may also hit screen son this day.
- July 23rd, 2010- ‘Kutty Sranku’ of Mammootty, Meena Kumar, Padmapriya and Kamalinee Mukherji will be competing with ‘Saa Kutumbum Shyamala’ of actors Urvasi and Kunchacko Bobban.
- July 30th, 2010- Oridathro postman and Pattinte Palazhy will be hitting screens.
However, the above mentioned films have to go through a censor board review and the release date may change without any prior information.
